Kathleen Sager is Founder and Principal Business Owner of EssenShea, handcrafted, organic, pure & natural skin, baby, home & pet products. She is currently studying at Aromahead Institute School of Essential Oil Studies for anatomy and physiology to become a certified Aroma Therapist.
Along with volunteering for Hope Clubhouse Board of Directors, Kathleen is also on their fundraising committee. She is currently volunteering on the Lee County Housing Task Force Committee under the direction of Circuit 20 Consortium, advocating for affordable, supportive housing for people struggling with mental illness and homeless individuals.
Kathleen is a Founding Board Chair of Lee County Homeless Coalition, Inc., serving four years as Chair person, known for her leadership and expertise. Kathleen was very active and successful in fundraising as Chairperson for their Annual Dinner and Silent Auction. Serving on LCHC three task force committees, Community Awareness and Education, Demographics and Prevention Task force. Her accomplishments as Chair included the Annual Homeless Service Day and Veterans Stand down and organizing the Annual Homeless Count on Fort Myers Beach. Kathleen is proud to have served on Lee Counties Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness Task Force.
Previous work: Corporate New Store Restaurant Trainer, Executive Director R.H Sager Financial Planning, NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) Lee County Program Director coordinating NAMI’s evidence based Family to Family classes, Peer to Peer and weekly NAMI Connections ending as NAMI Lee County Interim Executive Director. Coordinator and host for CIT (Crisis Intervention Training). Kathleen is proud to have been on the team effort for the first CIT for SRO’s (School Resource Officers) and finally Lee County Jail’s Correction Officer’s. Accumulating three hundred and fifty (350) hours of continued education in mental health, through CIT.
With over nine years board experience in HOA and nonprofit boards her accomplishments also include: Hospitality and Catering Director for St. Columbkille Catholic Church Ministry Building Fundraising Campaign and also Event Planner for their Annual Fund Raising/Silent Auction/Dinner Dance. Kathleen has extensive training in sales, hospitality, management, business compliance, nonprofit board governance, case management, web site design, program developing and event planning.
Graduate of Just Faith Ministries in Catholic Social Justice, Climate Change and Legislative Advocacy. Graduate of NAMI Family to Family Education Program. Kathleen has continued her education with numerous board retreats, seminars in board governance, fundraising and grant writing.
Member: NAMI Lee County, Lee County Homeless Coalition and Coalition of Immokalee Workers.
Recognitions: 2008 and 2009 Award Recognition of Outstanding Service Contribution Selfless Dedication and Compassion for serving her fellow Citizens of Lee County.
Kathleen Sager is a long time Florida resident, residing in Southwest Florida since 1986 and in Fort Myers Florida since 1994. Kathleen and her husband Bob have three children and three granddaughters.
Kathleen will continue helping those less fortunate with her empathy and compassion in erasing stigma by advocating and educating her community on mental illness through Hope Clubhouse of SWFL, Inc.
